There is something about Real Estate that can easily be romanticized. Whether you're scrolling through homes, admiring the architecture in your favorite neighborhood or daydreaming of your dream home, it's all very exciting! When it comes down to getting out there and making your day dream materialize, it can be overwhelming.

I believe this business is built on relationships. Relationships with your community, neighborhoods, businesses and people you can rely on. Building and maintaining those relationships are so important when working in real estate, especially on the buying side. Whether I am building a relationship with a fellow agent or with a neighborhood, it's another tool I use to help my clients find their ideal property and get our offers accepted.

I pride myself on leaning on the romantics, keeping it easy and reminding my clients that buying a home, whether it's your first or fifth, is something you should be proud of and enjoy the process.

Buying a New Home & What to Expect

  • 1. Let’s get a coffee!

This is where we meet and I learn all about your goals in buying a home. A lot of questions get answered here and you can really learn a lot as I learn all about what you’re looking for. I love meeting in person but if Zoom or a phone call is easier, I can always make arrangements best suited for you.

  • 2. Where do you feel comfortable monthly, and what price range makes the most sense for you?

If you’re not already connected with a lender, I’m happy to help you with those first steps. I work with a few excellent local lenders who I trust and can confidently recommend. They take great care of my clients, communicate well, and help us put together strong, competitive offers.

A pre-approval can often be turned around quickly, sometimes within 24 to 48 hours, depending on how fast we’re able to gather the needed documents. Once we have that in place, we’ll know exactly what range you’re approved for and what payment feels comfortable, which helps us narrow the search and focus only on homes that truly make sense for you.

  • 3. The search

If there is one thing that you will find in real estate - it's options. A strength of mine is understanding my clients situation and presenting multiple options on what could work for them. Whether we're satisfying a short term need or planning for a long term investment, we will go through it all. As an artist, I am constantly in a creative mindset. I love finding homes that deserve a second look, showing my clients the possibilities in a home and where you can add value. All through our search, we will explore new neighborhoods, homes, options and opportunities.

As I enjoy building relationships with my fellow colleagues, I am often lucky enough to have access to a pool of off market properties. This can give us a leg up in a competitive market and allow us to find a property with less competition and provide more options during our search.

  • 4. Buying

I work hard for my clients at every step, especially when it comes to negotiation. I’ve guided buyers through some of the toughest markets, multiple offer situations, and high-pressure deadlines, and I take a lot of pride in protecting my clients while keeping the process as calm and organized as possible. You’ll always know where we stand, what the strategy is, and what your options are.

I’ll also never pressure you into buying a home. If anything, I’m the person who will talk you out of a house quickly if I don’t believe it’s the right fit, even if it looks good on paper. My goal is to help you make a smart decision you feel good about long after the closing.

  • 5. Keys!

Our relationship doesn’t end at the closing table. Moving into a new home is exciting, but it also comes with questions, little surprises, and a list of things you may want to tackle right away or over time. I’m always here as a resource to help you think through next steps and work through any growing pains that come with homeownership.

If you ever need anything, I also have access to a strong network of trusted, vetted local professionals, including contractors, landscapers, electricians, plumbers, inspectors, and more. Whether it’s a small repair, a bigger project, or just figuring out who to call first, you can always reach out.

I’m excited at the opportunity to work with you - reach out anytime!
